Like many in today’s economy of corporate lay-offs and cutbacks, Marla Holden decided to create a new career path. Calling upon her years of training and experience as a photographer she is dedicated to helping women in the photography world deal with the dilemma of function vs. fashion.

As the creator of Foto Fashionista™ and the very first photographer’s vest created specifically for women, Marla Holden is determined to change the way female photographers work. Faced with the challenge of function vs. fashion in the photo industry Marla created My Foto Vest™, providing women photographer’s with the best of both. “There isn’t a reason female photographers should have to settle for products designed by men for men. The traditional photographer’s vest is designed around the concept of a hunting/fishing vest. It is highly functional for men, but pretty much devoid of any fashion sense. Personally, I was tired of wishing that someone would make a vest that fit me and held all of my stuff without making me look like a pack horse.”

With these criteria in mind Foto Fashionista™ was born. What began as a desire to fill a single need of a fashionable photographer’s vest for women has grown into a passion to develop an entire line of inspired products exclusively for women photographers. “At Foto Fashionista™ our primary concern is to provide female photographers with products designed especially for them. Products that allow them to appear as stylish and graceful as the imagery they create.”
